- Other Services
Along with the core services available at each Centre, other government, community and social service agencies have an opportunity to provide a wide range of services on-site. This can include everything from access to government forms, family counselling, legal resources, health information, supports for youth, women and seniors — the list goes on. There is a lot of flexibility in the mix of services available at each Centre. These services are identified based on the unique needs of the community and may be different for each Welcome Centre.
Visit the Activities Page of your local Centre to find out what's happening!
- Resource Area
A Resource Area at each Centre offers staff-supported access to computers with Internet, wifi, fax machine, photocopiers, scanners, telephones and webcams/headphones. A Job Board houses both employment opportunities and labour market information for clients to review.
In the Resource Area, clients will also find information specific to the cultures and activities in the community. This space often becomes a gathering place for clients to talk, network and share.
Our clients say...
"I came to the centre 2 days after I arrived in Canada. I was completely new and had no idea where to start. I came here and booked 4 or 5 appointments for the following days. In a week, I had all my applications sent - the centre saved me time, money and really helped my quick adaptation to the everyday life in Canada. I always recommend it to all my friends and family."
